Which one fits

Honest answer: it depends on your queue

Choose Wavetec if…

  • You need self-service kiosks for banking or telecom, such as cash deposit, card issuance or SIM dispensing.
  • You want WhatsApp queuing and appointments from the same vendor.
  • You want one supplier for software, devices, signage and installation across many branches.

Choose Qwaiton if…

  • You want no hardware project: visitors check in by QR code or phone, and your own TVs and tablets become displays and kiosks.
  • You want to see the price and start today with a 14-day free trial.
  • You want SMS notifications included in the plan (Enterprise, $100 per month).
Getting a quote

What to ask Wavetec before you sign

Wavetec does not publish prices on its website, so the real comparison starts with a quote. Ask every vendor, including us, the same questions:

  1. How is the licence priced? Per location, counter, user, device or visit, and what happens when you add a branch.
  2. Which hardware is required? Ticket printers, kiosks, displays and media players: bought, rented or your own screens.
  3. What do installation, training and support cost? One-off fees, yearly maintenance and response times.
  4. Who pays for SMS or WhatsApp messages? Included, per message, or through your own account.
  5. How long is the contract, and how do you leave? Notice period, data export and who owns the hardware afterwards.

Qwaiton’s answers are on our pricing page; the cost guide explains typical hardware and setup costs.

Switching

Moving from Wavetec step by step

How to switch without disrupting your queue

  1. List what you run today: locations, services, counters or rooms, and who works where.
  2. Start a free Qwaiton trial and set up one location the same way. It takes about an hour.
  3. Run both side by side for a few days at that location, with one screen each, until the team is comfortable.
  4. Move the QR codes and the waiting-room screen, then roll out the other locations one by one.
  5. Cancel the old subscription only after the last location has moved.

FAQ

Wavetec vs Qwaiton, answered

Does Wavetec publish its prices?

No. Wavetec’s website offers a free demo and an ROI calculator; it does not list prices (checked 22 October 2026).

Do I need to buy a ticket dispenser for Qwaiton?

No. Visitors take a ticket on their own phone by scanning a QR code, or on a tablet used as a kiosk. A waiting-room TV shows who is next.

Does Qwaiton send WhatsApp messages?

Qwaiton sends SMS notifications in the Enterprise and Custom plans. If you need WhatsApp, ask us about your country before you decide.

Can we keep our Wavetec screens?

Screens that can open a web page can show the Qwaiton display. Wavetec ticket dispensers and kiosks run Wavetec software, so plan to replace them with QR codes or tablets.
